Church the Cat

The only good thing about the new Pet Sematary (2019) was Church the Cat and I wanted to give a shout out to all the cats that were trained to play Church’s part.

Originally 5 different cats were going to be utilized to play Church but the two cats that stood out the most were Leo (1st pic) and Tonic (2nd pic). These two cats were extremely talented and did not even require any doubles. Another really interesting thing about these two (actually all 5 of the cats) is that they were all shelter cats. Melissa Millet, the animal coordinator, worked with various rescue organizations and shelters to find cats who matched the desired Maine Coon look that they wanted for Church. She found five and now all five of these cats have forever homes.
