BBC Sherlock is the best adaption of Sherlock Holmes because it succeeded in making me despise the character of Sherlock Holmes for the rest of my life (and eternity) and made me never want to touch the stories ever again and that’s what Arthur Conan Doyle would have truly wanted.

I stg at this very moment Arthur Conan Doyle’s ghost is probably floating in front of Steven Moffat’s bed violently sobbing in gratitude and mumbling things like ‘you did it. You finally did it. They all hate Sherlock Holmes. Thank you’

to this day, i still wonder how exactly the production for the 2012 lorax really went down. there’s not much record about it, at least that i could find, but honestly, looking at the earlier concepts, you can see that it was originally intended to be pretty different than what ended up on screen.

which by itself it’s pretty normal, of course. movies often change greatly from their original concept during production, sometimes retaining only the most basic set-up of what once was, but what i truly mean is that we know for sure that the lorax was, at one point, a movie that seriously considered including a rock opera villain ballad such as this

yet somehow the song intended for this exact same sequence ended up being. well. this

and i just want to know what was lost in the transition there because in my opinion, there is no way that the cutesy and sickeningly cheery lorax that we know could have even intended to include a song like the first one in it. this belongs to a very different movie.

sorry to bring this up again but, the one thing that gets me the most regarding these two songs is the fact that how bad me be actually re-used some of the exact same lyrics from biggering, and yet the difference in the delivery of both is so big that somehow it doesn’t sound the same at all. case in point:

HELL YEAH I’m so glad more people are learning about this. I remember hearing about it years ago and going “hot damn the Lorax having a rock opera would be perfect!”

It really sucks to see these people stray away from something a little more risky and on the scary side to be more appealing to both kids and adults

@shitsstorm @maycontainsomesalt

Wow the Lorax was almost watchable

new genre concept: soft apocalypse

the world as we know it has ended and mother nature starts taking back what’s hers. there are no zombies or cannibals or murderous bandits. the most valued members of the community are those who know how to garden and farm, sew and weave, treat wounds, work wood or build with bricks, cook from scratch.

people bond together to begin rebuilding instead of killing each other. everyone teaches each other whatever they do know and works together to figure out the stuff none of them know. books become incredibly valued resources because they’re often the only way to learn critical information. if someone is elderly, disabled, or otherwise unable to work at the same level as most of the community, they’re taken care of by the others, not told any sort of “survival of the fittest” bs.

as the generations ware on, communities begin expanding into small cities. some of the settlements even find ways to repurpose solar or wind power on a small scale and have electricity in some of their buildings. storytellers wander the countryside telling tales of the old world in return for some hot stew or a place to rest for the night, and the mythos of the new world start to incorporate elements of the past. the only thing that remains constant is that humans survive, and they do it by working together.

I just saw Kingsman the Golden Circle yesterday and I started wondering what if Austria had a secret organisation as well??

So me and my homie @the-real-heinz-christian-strache came up with something.

So i present you

Die Kaisermänner

Their base is in a Trachtenshop.

But they also obviously have really cool secret lairs in the Alps.

They take their Agent Names from the highest Mountains of Austria.

With Agent Großglockner (the highest Mountain) being their leader.

Other examples for names would be Agent Dachstein, Agent Wildspitze, Agent Piz Buin, Agent Schneeberg, Agent Hochkönig, Agent Zugspitze….

Of course they also have real ass cool skis with rocket power and shit.

Anways, yes i have no life, would i be delighted if someone added to this or did it for their own country? Also yes

Pfiat eich🇦🇹

I love this idea and will do this for Germany:

Die Kanzlermänner

Their base is a Dönerbude

And their really cool secret lair is down an old mine in Ruhrpott

They take their Agent Names from the longest Autobahnen of Germany.

With Agent A7 (the longest Autobahn) being their leader.

Other examples for names would be Agent A3, Agent A1, Agent A4, Agent A9, Agent A8, Agent A6….

Of course they also have real ass cool segways with rocket power and shit.
