I’ll be honest, it kind of sucks being in the middle of the spectrum as an artist. On the plus side, can draw better than stick figures. On the down side, can’t draw realistically enough to wow people, and can’t draw crazily stylized enough to amaze them either. Welcome to the world of acceptable yet unimpressive art where your work is filler to tide people over until the good artists swoop in and get in the spotlight.
hey guys! my laptop went into repair and will be there for about 2-3 weeks. while imight be able to draw dgitally using my moms laptop when she is at work, it does mean streaming wont be a thing for until then. There's a lot of ableism stemming from your dark souls post so maybe you should address that :')
It’s funny how whenever ableism is brought up in the context of this argument it always lines up perfectly, by sheer coincidence, with the personal preferences of the person making the argument and stops immediately at that point.
Like, it’s always “I don’t enjoy the combat in this game AND AS A SHEER COINCIDENCE, APROPOS OF NOTHING, IT’S ALSO ABLEIST, BUT I PROMISE MY PREFERENCE IS NOT INFLUENCING MY CONCERN AT ALL”
They never also bring up the issues color-blind people have with games, they never advocate making puzzles optional for people who have some sort of disability to prevent them from comprehending them. They never advocate skipping dialogue sections in games because some people are unable to understand social situations or read face and body language.
It’s just curious to me how their concern for the differently-abled hard stops the moment it no longer lines up with their personal preferences, almost like they’re motivated by self-interest rather than altruism, but hey
